Golf Ball
Golf ball bulbs are widely used in wall lights, ceiling pendants and lamps. They have a variety of caps and it is important to select the correct cap bulb for your fitting. The four most common caps are Bayonet (BC), Edison screw (ES), small Bayonet (SBC) and small Edison screw (SES).
Once you know the cap, choose whether your golf ball bulb is opal (diffused) or clear. Often it is preferable to have a clear bulb in a chandelier type fitting as they are less noticeable when the fitting is switched off.
Next select the colour temperature of your bulb. By this we mean warm white, cool white, or daylight. Warmer being more yellow, daylight being more blue. This is a completely personal choice, some people prefer a warm cosy colour and others prefer a cool modern feel.
Another important choice you need to make is whether to buy dimmable or non-dimmable bulbs. As dimmable bulbs are a little more expensive there is no point in buying them if you don't have a dimmer switch.
